Every business has milestones that shape its story. For us, one of those unforgettable moments happened on November 12, 2011, at the South Carolina Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SCHCC) Third Annual Corporate Gala.
That evening was more than just an event—it was a celebration of diversity, entrepreneurship, and community growth. The ballroom was filled with color and energy, reflecting the vibrancy of South Carolina’s Hispanic business community. Even more meaningful, part of the ticket proceeds went to the SCHCC Scholarship Foundation, helping Hispanic students pursue higher education.

I still remember listening to Dean Hybl, Executive Director of Ten at the Top, as he spoke about the importance of building Our Upstate Vision. His words reminded us that growth means more than numbers—it’s about preserving the values and diversity that make a community strong.
Our Unforgettable Recognition
Then came the moment we’ll never forget: hearing SCHCC President Evelyn Lugo announce that Archway Safety Consulting & Language Services had been named 2011 Business of the Year.
That award meant so much because it wasn’t just about success—it was about perseverance. In those early years, we faced bumps and bruises like any entrepreneur does. But we kept moving forward, fueled by the belief that what we were building mattered. Reaching our fifth anniversary at that time felt like a victory, and this recognition was the cherry on top.
