First, I apologize for not posting a single blog this year. For at least ten years, I have consistently produced a weekly blog. This year it abruptly stopped.
We were remarkably busy purchasing the business assets of Carolina Safety Consultants. For many years, we had a great collaborative relationship with Carolina Safety Consultants. We typically provided the Spanish language training and services that they needed for their Hispanic subcontractors. At times, we used its services to supplement our offering.
The process of purchasing CSC customers was lengthy. For many months, there was an adjustment period; first in developing strong working relationships with our new clients, then in the workload. We have been expanding our team of safety professionals which includes our core of bilingual safety professionals. Friends, we want you to know that our adjustment period from our growth spurt is now over. We are providing top quality safety and language services. Eagerly, we are ready for more.
I founded Alfonso Interpreting 15 years ago here in Greenville. Our new name, Archway Safety Consulting & Language Services, Inc. better reflects our services and vision. We are unique because our team includes OSHA authorized outreach trainers in construction and industry. My team and I train in Spanish and English. We provide consulting services and on-site inspections/audits with a special focus on reaching workers lacking a clear understanding of English. We provide site safety professionals for your projects. We also provide a host of training from toolbox talks from OSHA ten- and thirty-hour courses, disaster site worker training, Hazwoper, to fork, scissor and boom lift training. Although you have Spanish-speaking safety people in most companies, for insurance purposes companies still hire third party consultants. I do not know how you feel about the current third-party consultants you use, but I know that we show up and inspect when I say so. We get our reports in on time and I am very responsive to my client’s needs,
My goal is to bridge the communication gap with workers lacking English understanding We are here to help companies who need to develop or maintain a strong safety climate especially if they have a diverse workforce lacking in English understanding. If you have a concern about the safety of a Hispanic workforce but you are not sure what to do, it will not cost you anything to have a conversation with us.
